Pre-Surgery Patient Preparation Room

On the day of your outpatient or inpatient procedure, once you check in, you will be brought to the pre-surgery patient preparation room to begin preparing for surgery. A loved one will be allowed to accompany you to this room and stay with you until you are taken to the OR. During the pre-surgery preparation, you will meet with your physician or a physician’s assistant to review your procedure, confirm and mark the site of surgery and answer any remaining questions that you may have. If you are having an inpatient procedure, your belongings will be taken up to your assigned patient room. If you are having an outpatient procedure, you will return to your room for a period of recovery time before heading home.
